Good morning,
Trump
The term HUMINT stands for human intelligence, and is the most sensitive intelligence gathered from the covert work of agents or operatives and precious placement or recruitment of allies.
(There are other classifications such as SIGINT which uses electronic interception of communications etc)
Potentially the sources take years to development or place inside a foreign government for example, and are in highly vulnerable positions deserving of the protection and utmost secrecy.
This is why the FBI raided former U.S. President Trumps Florida Mar-a-Lago home, because he not only had super sensitive documents taken from the White House but Trump ignored repeated demands to return them.
The affidavit used to obtain the search warrant was made public Friday, showing documents related to the use of “clandestine human sources” in intelligence gathering were held by Trump and that months of negotiations to retrieve those files only resulted in a partial return of some of them.
Revealed by the department of justice is that after seven months of negotiations, on January 18 it had received 15 boxes of material that former president Trump held at Mar-a-Lago. But many more were not returned because Trump considered them his personal property. Returned were 184 documents with classification markings, including 25 labeled “top secret.” Others were related to foreign intercepts collected under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
What Trump still had in his possession may be even worse.
This is against the law as all former Presidents must return classified documents to the national archives.
Despite what has been said by Trump allies, suggestions this was political or a scheme by the ‘dark state’ appear to be nothing more than ridiculous political torque.
Trump had violated the law, and did so refusing to heed warnings what he was doing broke the law and every norm by a former President.
Blacked out in the documents were witnesses names who may have been cooperating the FBI investigation and may be in danger for doing so.
Here’s why I’m writing this today - it is more than likely it appears that Trump will be indicted. In fact many believe there is now no question he will face criminal charges.
Trumps case he had declassified the documents or that this is selective political prosecution won’t stop a grand jury from decided he willfully broke the law. In fact his lawyers first boldly wrote to the DOJ in May suggesting the FBI had no authority to take any action against the former President.
And when a subpoena for the secret documents was delivered to Mar-a-lago in June the lawyers falsely said there were no more documents at the property.
In fact the FBI search in August found sensitive and secret documents in more than one location in the Florida residence.
The charges will likely come after the mid term elections. Trump will use them for political ends, and fight a conviction which is not guaranteed but highly likely.
The case super charges America’s politics, with Trump supporters willing to believe this is a system being highjacked by Democrat leaders to persecute their orange haired great leader and none of this is to be believed.
And of course for most people following main stream news, it again shows how Trump cannot be trusted as a political leader and needs to be removed from any sensitive leadership role in the U.S.
Trump shouldn’t be anywhere near sensitive anything in America, and he is a clear and present danger even as a defeated President who lost an election, sparked an assault on the Capitol, and if allowed to run for President again will potentially destroy America’s democracy.
Settle back and prepare for the show. It’s going to be a whopper of a drama as Donald Trump is indicted before the 2024 Presidential race even begins.
